The World of 2025 promises to be full of Dangers
Currently, Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Ethiopia, Burma are the best known examples of the disruption of our World. In short, there are more than 40 armed conflicts underway in the world today, many of which in Africa and the Middle East. And Africa remains the epicenter of humanitarian crises. And we must still mention Afghanistan, Syria, Sudan and the Congo which are the countries most devastated by war. According to the UN and because of these armed conflicts more than 95 million people are refugees or internally displaced. Let us also remember that the war imposed by Russia on Ukraine led to the death of hundreds of thousands of people. Finally, on the economic level, the news is not better, particularly for Europe: the customs and protectionist measures of all kind announced by Pt Trump will obviously aggravate tensions between many states. The creation of the UN, the IMF or even the GATT seems to belong to a distant past. Today the so-called countries of the "Global South" and the "West" observe each other with suspicion. And faced with Russia's aggressive attitude and China's ambiguous attitude, many states are seeking shelter under the umbrella of NATO.....like during the cold war. It's a big step backwards for international relations.
